    • The theatre shown was called central cinema. it was off jackson st. the star theatre was on the corner of holly and broadway and was torn down long ago where a kfc was later built. central cinema was famous for showing martial arts movies. i went to the star in the mid 60s to see my first theatre show.. it was the beatles..the star was a quarter and the palace down bway was 50cents. being poor and from the arlington neighborhood, i went more often to the star.

    • If memory serves, the Star theater, located right down the street from our house on Daisy Street, was on Broadway at the Holly Street intersection. I remember my mother giving us kids each 12 cents to see a double feature complete with cartoons! Those were the days!

    • The theater in question is the Star. It is located off Jackson St. just off the north east conner of the north common. Alos there is one other theater still standing It is located to the left of where the new french social club is now located. the thearter's name was the Mordern.

    • When I was a young child in the 1970's, my father use to bring me to the Warner Theater in Lawrence. Do you have any pictures when the theater was operating? I remember it being bigger than what I see in this picture.
