Most years, after the season was done, Jimmy would bring the MV Outasite back down to 'winter' in the Seattle/Puget Sound area. One year he brought her down to Portland and I babysat her at Tomahawk Is. on the Columbia. But first she spent 6 weeks on the dock of Wiley's Floatplane base on the Willamette River in Lake Oswego, while a crewman got his floatplane pilot's certification.
