On September 17, 2000, a new boulevard was opened in downtown Sofia , which bears the name of Todor Alexandrov, the Macedonian liberation movement's great leader. The boulevard connects Maria Louisa St. and Opulchenska St., passing above Sofia's underground, and is parallel to Alexandar Stambolijski Blvd. Similarly as in the Spanish Valle de los Caidos, now co-exist, at a distance of some twenty meters.
