I like the view of the mountains in this picture. We had planned to stop here in Currant to grab a bite to eat, etc., but all that was here was long abandoned gas station, cafe, and motel. A sign said it was only about 50 miles to the next gas station, so we figured we'd stop there instead.

Currant, I stayed at #####'s Motel back in November / December 1991. What happened to the place. Darryl ran the gas station and there was a massive plastic 10 foot high bull just across the road from the gas station. A wonderful, friendly place when I stayed, I still have my photos of Currant 1991 style, with the 106 miles to Tonopah sign. I went through Currant on my way to Boise from Los Angeles, via Vegas. As #####'s Tshirt stated, the bull stops in Currant. It is sad to here the place has closed, J Rea, Bristol, England, United Kingdom.
