Heading toward the Ferry to cross Lake Michigan. I got really lucky regarding the ferry. I didn't do any research at all about the ferry. I just figured it ran every couple of hours. I arrived mid-afternoon to learn there were only 2 runs per day, early morning and late evening, and this was one of the last days when the night ferry ran. If I had been a week later, I would have been stuck in Ludington for the night.
