Album Info:

In 2001, the Garden became part of the national "painted animal" craze, with our "Butterflies on Parade" project. The idea started in Europe, and then came to Chicago in 1999 with "Cows on Parade". There were fish in New Orleans, pigs in Cincinnati, and lizards in Orlando, just to mention a few. This exhibit near the pond was entitled "Egyptian Queen" by artist Virginia Keil. It was sponsored by Alabama Live (al.com).
