Last summer (2002) the Garden provided the setting for 50 larger-than-life whimsical bronze sculptures by Alabama artist Frank Fleming. Raised in rural Alabama, Fleming is a teller of tall tales, a creator of lifelike animals with suspiciously human characteristics, and a fervent believer in the kinship between animal and human behavior.
