Many creatures - frogs, fish (red darters), insects, algae, crustaceans, single cell organisms and plants make their home in this complete ecosystem. Dragonflies form an important part of wetland wildlife and they play a significant roll in its general ecology. They are among the most beautiful and spectacular insects flying today and they are also among the most ancient of living creatures; predating dinosaurs by over 100 million years and birds by some 150 million.
