The view from 710-meter high Corcovado. TV towers are on Serra da Carioca in the Tijuca Forest. Beyond this hill is 1021-meter high Tijuca Peak. This entire forest was replanted in the late 1800s, if I remember correctly, as it had previously been cut down to plant either coffee or sugarcane.
