The driveway leading up to "the Breakers". Built in the 1890's it was the largest of the great mansions of Newport, Rhode Island. This house was definitely "over the top" in regards to size and ornamentation. Of course it was meant to be that way as the Vanderbilts were deliberately flaunting their enormous wealth.
