Although we were supposed to bus to Baghdad and then fly back to Mosul, we hitched a ride with the Commanding General of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). This is Major General Petraeus's Blackhawk helicopter over the city of Mosul. The 101st has a policy to fly in two-ship formations in case there's any trouble. Obviously, I'm in the escort bird.
