This large wooden barn in Mount Lebanon, New York was built by the Shaker community located there prior to the Civil War. Shaker barns were sometimes quite large because the Shakers farmed as a single community. Another barn at Mount Lebanon made of stone is five storeys high and two hundred feet long.
