Note in the first plan of this picture, ROUGH FESCUE which is a native grass of the Alberta foothills. Thanks to freguent warm Chinooks, fescue grasses, wooded coulees and mountain fed streams this is some of the best ranching country in Canada! Between 1909 and 1919 from this building came the Percheron breeding operation. It was the largest and most famous in the world!
