Turkish crescent in the Old Town. While I see it: Our croissant got its shape from this cresent. After the Turks left the unsuccessfully besiege of Vienna, Austria 1529 the Austrian bakeries started baking this kind of bread: Telling "we eat them". (by Klaus Mack)
