I love this mural. The fine print under "Zapata Vive" (Zapata lives) is "Conocimiento es Poder" (Knowledge is Power). Because of the shortcomings of the public schools (poor quality, blatant racism, and ideological issues), the Zapatistas have begun creating their own education system. They teach in Spanish and the various local indigenous languages. There are also community-based communications initiatives, like videos, web content, and Radio Insurgente.
