She was launched in 2000 from the Oceanco yard in Holland. She is still the biggest yacht built in Holland. I spotted her in Cannes on 1 August 2001. She is owned by the Emir of Qatar. The Royal Family of Qatar also owns the Oceanco twins Stargate and Constellation. The last one is for sale with a price tag of $ 68,000,000. The Al Mirqab was built under the code name Trick One. Named after the shed of Oceanco.
