  • Greetings Randy! This gives me warm fuzzy feeling. Autumn is my favorite season. I was fortunate to visit Oregon and Washington last month and took nice shots, but don't come close to yours. I hope to visit Vermont and New Hampshire in 2009 Fall. What would be the best time to capture the full vivid colors. I would like Sleepy hollow and Jenny farm to be on my list to photograph. Thanks for sharing your beautiful pictures. Best regards, Catalina

  • I hadn't noticed this picture right before the POTD. Yes, the retouched version is an improvement! I see that you have traveled quite a bit, something I'd like to do more. I'll be back to visit your album and travel vicariously through your albums. One can dream! Barbara

  • OOOPS..forgot to mention what a great shot this is...perfect composition, and dazzling fall color...not to mention the bright red of the bridge!

  • Hi, Randy... Thanks so much your your comments on my Fall in New England 2007 album...your words made my day...especially after viewing your photos and seeing what an accomplished photographer you are. To answer your question: the Bermont barn photo was taken from in from of the Randolph VT covered bridge (There's a photo of this in my album as well.) When facing the entrance to the bridge from the main road (can't remember the number), the barn can be seen to the right. Thanks too for your suggestion with respect to a circular polarizer. I have one of these, and I believe I used it on the photo you were referring to...either that or I used my neutral density gradient filter. The latter comes in handy when the sky is very bright with respect to the landscape. I see you managed to visit Vermont at peak foliage time! I've tried twice in the last three years to do so and, despite being informed via the internet that the colors were glorious, I found very little color. Oh, well...some day, perhaps. I love Vermont and it's not that far from Connecticut.

  • I've been to West Arlington, but have never seen this bridge! I'll have to look for it next time I go!
