Album Info:

On Thursday, October 28, we toured Taxco (pronounced tahs-CO), the city in Mexico where silver is mined and Mexican sterling silver is produced. Taxco is located in the mountains, southwest of Cuernavaca. The name is derived from a native Nahuatl Indian word "Tlachco", which means "place with ball-court." Hernan Cortes visited the area around Taxco while exploring the vastness of the territory he had conquered. He discovered silver ore on the surface and mined it.
