Just simple explanation: ROMAN architecture has curved basic lines & vaults, little windows as the enormous roof weight is supported by walls and pillars than GOTHIC has augive ones and large windows permitted in the walls, roof weight being supported by augives vaults crossings in the ceiling and external buttresses; Seing this long nave followed by the lighty far gothic choir from narthex with central porch doors opened is a complete amazement as entering in a diamond.
