Sometimes the colors projected by Robert Pinart's "Founding of a New Nation" window are so intense they are almost surreal. From time to time, I actually like to put my nose right up to the projections, or touch the color, as if it were some pastel chalk that could be brushed away, or, more crazy yet, to make sure the stone behind the color is still solid. Here, seen high on the south overlook railing and beyond reach, I'll just have to trust. (December, 2004)

Yes, as though "chalked" like an I Madonnari Chalk Festival piece of art except not on the ground! It would be lovely to see the "Founding of a New Nation" window itself, as you refer to it being the source of all these beautiful color displays.
