Album Info:
The Old House was originally built in c.1770 in Beck, Missouri which is now Arnold, Missouri (where I grew up). The second story and a wing of the house was added in 1831. To save the house, a lady named Lucianna Gladney Ross, the matriarch of Kimmswick, had it moved to Kimmswick in 1973. Bless you Lucianna. The two story structure has served as a trading post, tavern and stagecoach stop. It was frequently visited by Ulysses S. Grant and his fellow officers from the nearby military base, Jeffers
