History Lesson: When the Ottoman Empire (Currently Turkey) took over the Yugoslavia area, they attempted to assimilate populations through non-forcerful means. Unlike other Empires such as the Roman or Mongol Empires the Ottoman's peacefully built churches in high traffic areas in hopes of conversion.
