Tianjin is an odd city. It's a combination of Chinese and western cultures. The Chinese culture is very Chinese and the western culture is very wesrtern. The bell tower was very important to Tianjin residents because in the past, the bell tower told ppl the time and warm them of fire alarms and so. Now the Bell tower area has been turned into a commercial area, maybe only in the night can we see such a peaceful and quiet bell tower standing there in the moon light.
