Mt Zion, whose crest is adjacent to the walled city of Jerusalem, is venerated by the 3 major faiths. It is also the cradle of Christianity in Jerusalem. Following The Great Jewish Revolt against the Romans, Jews and Christians were forbidden to live in Jerusalem. The early Christians resettled on Mt Zion, the closest place to Jerusalem's boundaries at the time, and the place where Jesus is belived to have had his Last Supper.
