The station built by Eliel Saarinen, was finished in 1919. The station is mostly built out of Finnish granite, and its distinguishing features are its clock tower and the two pairs of statues holding the lamps on either side of the main entrance.

    • http://travel.webshots.com/album/550715799mpueTc This is the home museum of Eliel Saarinen and houses of his 2 fellow architects. Eliel had a son Eero Saarinen, also an architect. He designed the Freedom Arch in St Louis, the TWA Terminal in JFK Airport in New Yourk etc as he emigrated to the US.
