The territory of Maratea is variegated thanks to rich nature, the beauty of the coast with rocks, creeks and beaches. The mountains are like a protective shield for the valley. Mediterranean bush is all over the area: olive trees, orchards cover the territory and donate wonderful colours and smells. Maratea is famous also thanks to its 44 churches.
