Attempt more. This one has worked. Your apple obeys the rule of thirds, the criss crossing diagonal lines give a nice plaid effect and contrasts well with the grain of the wood, the colour is great, the two large shadows -bottom right and behind the apple - sit nicely to give balance. Good job
