Lake Pend Oreille and Schweitzer Ski mountain are located in the Selkirk Mountains in North Idaho's panhandle. It is only 60 miles south of the Canadian border. Sandpoint is a small resort town on the lake. The area has spectaculer scenery and many recreational opportunities in every season of the year.
