This is the King Protea, so-named for their immense size. These flowers were more than eight inches in diameter. Protea grow naturally in only one location in the world: the Cape Floral Kingdom. It is the smallest of the floral kingdoms, but it has the largest number of different plants...more than the entire United Kingdom!
