Lili'uokalani Botanical Garden is one of five botanical parks administrated by the city of Honolulu. It is an oasis located downtown adjacent to the H-1 freeway on School Street. The seven and a half acre park was the favorite picnic area for Queen Lili'uokalani, Hawai'i's last reigning monarch. She later bequeathed the land to the city for public usage. Nu'uanu Stream creates a series of small picturesque waterfalls in the park. It is also abundant with native Hawai'ian plants including this magnificent mango ladened with new young fruit.
