Gooseneck SP is located near Monument Valley, which can be seen against the sky line in the left corner of the monutain range (if you enlarge the photo to its full size). I loved the play of shadows & contrasts in this photo. I have an album full of my favorite NP photos, but unfortunately could only display 3 at the challenge - so everyone is more than welcome to enjoy the rest of the album!

  • Terrific shot - I love the POV here. It's interesting how many national parks feature vast formations of ancient sedimentary rocks. This one is beautifully-sculpted by wind and water.
