Album Info:

According to folklore, Brabo is the person who slayed the giant Antigoon who exerted a toll from everyone who wanted to cross the river Scheldt. If someone refused the toll, the giant cut off the persons hand and threw it to the river. Brabo slayed the giant exactly in the same way, by cutting off the hand of the statue and throwing it to the river. The name Antwerpen can then be seen as derived from "Hand werpen" (throw the hand). (Though a more likely explanation is anda werpum, at the wharf)
