    • Oh how funny!!! It is a Cannonball Tree!! They are so amazing!! Here is some data on the amazing trees and their equally amazing fruit for your viewers and friends. ~ "Couroupita guianensis ~ from the Brazil Nut family. While native to Guiana, it's grown in temples in India because its flower resembles a snake sacred to Shiva. The fruit is about 6-9 inches in diameter containing hundreds of seeds but its flesh has a smell humans don't care for. (On the other hand, the flowers are quite fragrant). An exotic found in a number of botanical gardens, this South American native is grown for its huge cannonball like fruits. Nice specimens are found on O'ahu at Foster Botanical Garden and the Manoa campus." Here is one of the sources: http://www.tradewindsfruit.com/cannonball_tree.htm
