Album Info:
This was the last day of the trip, and I made sure to close with (who else?) Gaudi. This is his Parc Guell, originally meant to be a park getaway for Barcelona's super-rich. Gaudi flexed his multi-talented muscle here, designing not only the houses, walls, squares, and sculptures, but also the landscape. With views over the whole of Barcelona, it was a satisfying spot to close the trip. I sat with my lovely Catalan guide, and soaked up the last Spanish sunset I was to enjoy for.. well, who knows how long? I stayed up essentially all night, catching an early morning bus from Barcelona back to Girona, where the whole trip had begun two long weeks before. As the plane crossed over the sea and the sunlit peaks of the Pyrenees, I had a rapturous moment of reflection upon the trip, and my life in Europe so far.. It's been a joy. Not without its challenges, but worth every moment. Thanks for looking (and reading). And keep your eyes peeled for more adventures, soon to come!
