Heidelberg Main Street

Album Info:
The main street stretches over 1,6 km from Bismarckplatz to the city hall, and is therefore the longest pedestrian zone of Europe. From 1392 until the first city expansion, this street, at that time considered the upper street connecting with the lower street, showed the doubled east-west-axis of the city. The shopping mile offers Baroque and Renaissance facades, department stores, boutiques, pretzel stands, street vendors, beggars, artists and beautiful street cafes.
