In front of the Capitol building's entrance is an elegant statue dedicated to 'Confederate Women'. Inscribed on each of the four panels is a poem dedicated to: "Our Mothers" facing east, "Our Daughters" facing west, "Our Sisters" facing north, and "Our Wives" facing south.
