Album Info:

(DSC01828) Cagayan de Oro is currently served by Lumbia Airport. It is the third major airport in Mindanao region. Lumbia Airport is located on top of a hill, 183 meters (601 feet) above sea level and is surrounded by mountain ranges. During the rainy season, flights are usually canceled due to fog and poor visibility. The airport does not have a tube or buses to ferry passengers. Boarding priority is given to disabledpassengers. Bring an umbrella to protect yourself from the weather. Lumbia was originally built as a small provincial airport. With the increase of air traffic and lack of government funding, the airport terminal has become inadequate. Last January 11, 2006, President Macapagal-Arroyo broke ground to start the construction of the new airport in Laguindingan town, approximately 30 kilometers west of Cagayan de Oro. This airport shall serve both cities of Cagayan de Oro and Iligan. Construction is expected to be finished by 2012. (Taken from http://www.cdoguide.com/goingtocdo/airpo rt.html)
