Italian Castles, Castello la Guaita, San Marino - Aug 29, 2008

Album Info:
San Marino is an independent and sovereign State located in Northern Italy, between the Regions of Romagna and Marche and near the Adriatic Sea. It's the smallest Republic in the whole world and is located around the monte Titano, summounted by three impressive castles. Here a view at dawn of the first castle, named la Guaita, from the aerial path named the passo delle streghe (the witches' path). Useless to say that the view from upthere, on the top of a 1,200 ft high overhanging rock, is quite impressive!

Whow - this is just spectacular! Love the way the mist is lit up on the left of the shot. Amazing lighting and very dramatic.

It surely does look impressive, would love to see the view from up there, Roberto

Fabulous light my friend! One can readily see why it would be so difficult to lay a seige on such a place in the medievil days.
