Isn't wonderful. When I think of places in this world that I would love to live, I think of Cinqueterre. I believe it's the prettiest collection of villages in the world. At least the parts that I've visited. It's an image makers delight though I have found it challenging to create an image either unique enough or beautiful enough to give Cinqueterre justice. This is a beautiful subject, and an excellent job composing and taking this picture. I won't download it, however...because I don't want desktop pictures with the color jacked up as much as this one is. When the sky goes from blue to turquoise, it's too much.

My wife and I visited this region in May of 07. We spent a week in Levanto which is just west of this area. The week was spent hiking and long glorious days on the beach. Time well spent. Would say for people to see the Cinque Terra from both boat and hiking as the views are just as spectacular walking.

Cingueterre is the one place in Italy that I really wanted to visit while I was there and didn't get the chance to. Luckily I'm only a couple hours away in Belgium and will hopefully get a chance to go explore the towns in the next two years. Lovely picture!! Congrats on POTD. ~Marie
