A few steps away stands a thick, multi-trunked dragon tree, which had not always stood this way, because, for one, Coronado was once as barren as our Mojave Desert and, for another, a hostile camera crew from Marilyn Monroe's Some Like It Hot chopped it to a gnarly stump in 1958.Phil Hagen
