Album Info:

Old marble slabs at Palatine Hill. Okay this is along caption... the slabs were hung up throughout palace rooms to act as wallpaper. The top slab has purple. This is purple porphyry, and there was only a limited supply and was only in Egypt. Romans dug it and took the world's supply. Because there was so little, only Emperors could use it, making it exclusive, which is now why purple is considered to be a royal color. Cool huh?
