After her 2nd husband's death, Alva Vanderbilt moved out of the Belcort Castle and reopened Marble House, and had a Chinese Tea House built on the seaside cliffs, where she hosted rallies for women's right to vote.

Interesting area. I enjoy the historical connection. Good pics, too Thanks for sharing. I can't walk so I won't be able to visit except thru pics. I am reading an old mystery by Mary Jane Clark called "Hide Yourself Away." It takes place here.Pretty good. Jan
