Album Info:

(DSC07900) I was in that Cebu Pacific flight (5J196) to Cauayan from Manila on June 8, 2011. I heard a loud "bang" sound while on mid-flight as we were experiencing air pocket movements. When that happened, some women screamed, and, being next to a left window where I could see the propeller, I checked the left engine's integrity for unusual signs like fire or propeller flying off (whatever!), & it was functioning fine. No problem this side. I glanced over the aisle to check the right window side - no problem there, too. Then came 2 female flight attendants who also checked the propeller engines on both sides of the plane through the windows. Shortly thereafter, the captain announced over public address system to be calm & not to worry as the plane was ok. He further went on to say that we experienced a lightning strike but that we are fine. On that assurance from the pilot, it seemed everyone calmed down inside the cabin, & we all breathed a sigh of relief. I could only thank my God for sparing us all in that memorable flight.
