    • In my retirement I am making DVDs on aspects of the history of Africa –combining my narrative with images and music. I am on my third one now, after one on the long hunter/gatherer period, a second on the recent coming of agriculture; this one is on the still more recent emergence of civilization–what civilization is, how it may have come about, and Egyptian Civilization. I hope to work subsequently on later times and other regions of Africa Your images the slaying of the hippopotamus, the symbol of Seth, the enemy of the sun and Horus: http://travel.webshots.com/photo/2381017700031850216QtgYaY fishing in the Nile: http://travel.webshots.com/photo/2183690830031850216xOvxXl Hathor, wife of Horus, in the form of the cow she was goddess of joy and music: http://travel.webshots.com/photo/2385927230031850216WUpOKg helped me tell my story about Egypt. I need your permission to include them in the DVD (ownership and all rights remain with you) and want your name to include in the credits. I hope to show the DVD in live presentations to student and adult audiences. I will not ask for payment, but I hope to be reimbursed for food, lodging and transportation expenses. I will gladly send you a copy of the DVD without the credits added now, or, if you prefer, whenever I am able to add all the credits. Either way I will need your address. Laurence Salomon.
