Album Info:
We arrived in Barcelona quite late, and had time for little more than a bite to eat and check-in to the hostel. The next day, however, would be quite different.. With my beautiful Catalan guide, we wandered the city, seeking out Gaudi works at every turn. Antonio Gaudi is perhaps my favorite architect (from having studied a bit of architectural history), and Barcelona is filled with his masterpeices (along with those of the other Modernistas-- the Catalan artistic school, of whose members Gaudi is the most famous). His work is emblematic of European Modernism, and spans from private houses to parks, apartment buildings, even lamp posts. This is his Casa Batlló. Just look at it..
