Album Info:

So we did okonomiyaki, monja, and finally, takoyaki. Tako is the Japanese word for octopus, and yaki means cook. Like with the other things I'd eaten previously in this meal, the tako here is suspended in a mildly flavored substrate. At my right is some sauce. Further on my right is a little kid. Everyone else in the restaurant seemed to be young people accompanied by their parents, which was interesting considering that they were necessarily within 8 inches of a hot grill when seated at the table. Also, it turns out that octapus has a vastly higher specific heat capacity than the other ingredients of the takoyaki, as I got burned by the octapus on just about every one of these.
