Beneath the raised floor, Ifugaos keep their livestock, crops and farm implements. The house is set on 4 inverted tree trunks as posts whose forked branches touch the ground, giving more stability to the house. Posts are not anchored deep into the ground since Ifugaos are known to move or transfer homes to other locations.
