Album Info:

Lake Buhi is the only known place on earth where "sinarapan" (Mistichthys Luzonensis), the world's smallest edible fish, is found. Measuring approximately 6 to 8 millimeters in length when fully grown, the sinarapan is so minute that it would take a thousand to fill a tablespoon.

    • Ding, "Sinarapan" (Mistichthys Luzonensis) is found only in Buhi's lake & river systems. However, "tabios" or dwarf pygmy goby (Pandaka pygmaea) is found in the Philippine rivers of Malabon, Rizal & Palawan, and Indonesia. "Sinarapan" is edible while "tabios" is not.

    • I wonder if this fish is also called Tabios as I remember it from my school days there. I like the blue monochromatic composition here broken slightly by the green patch. The placement of the boat in the bottom left also gives the impression of a left to right motion in the photo.
