Album Info:

David ruled Israel between approximately 1010 and 970 BC. He conquered Jerusalem from the Jebusites and made it his capital. According to the Bible, David loved God with all his heart, and God guaranteed him that the Israelite monarchies would come from his dynasty forever. Jews believe that the Messiah will be a direct descendant of King David, and Christianity traces the lineage of Jesus back to him. David is also a prophet in Islam, where he is called Da'ud.

  • I read where King David killed 20 or 22,000 Philistines. Abraham, Moses, Joshua, Gideon, Saul, Jonathon, David and Sampson-as well as a woman named Deborah-were all great warriors in The Old testament. Too bad, they aren't alive today. Then all this garbage that's going on in Afghanistan and Iraq would be over.
