Album Info:
Mang Ramon explains the various uses of the raincoat and other native wear. The WWII Japanese soldier's helmet now serves only as a trophy. His Ifugao ancestors fought alongside American and Filipino troops during WWII. Feared by their enemies, Ifugao and Igorot warriors are well-known fierce fighters. It was no wonder that Gen. Tomoyuki Yamashita of the Japanese Imperial forces unconditionally surrendered to the Allied troops right here on these very mountains on Sep. 2, 1945.
